Accra Hosts the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) Advisory
The advisory meeting is being held March 12–17, 2026, in Accra, Ghana. It brings together leaders of this department to reflect on strategies for promoting religious liberty, strengthening relationships with public authorities, and supporting the mission of the Church in society.
During these five days, participants will take part in training sessions, experience-sharing, and discussions on contemporary challenges related to freedom of conscience and worship. The advisory also serves as an important platform to strengthen collaboration between PARL leaders and the various organizations of the Church.
Defending religious liberty and promoting the values of respect, dialogue, and peace within communities remain essential.
The department director at the General Conference, Nelu Burcea, along with his two associates, Elie Henry and Andy Im, will all be present.
Welcome to the land of Kwame Nkrumah!
